About The Turkish Brew

Coffee the slow way, in the fast part of town.

Turkish coffee poured from a copper cezve

The Turkish Brew opened at 1444 N 7th Street with one idea: make the real thing. Coffee ground fine as flour, risen slowly in a copper cezve, served with lokum on the saucer the way it has been for five hundred years.

The kitchen followed: serpme breakfasts on weekend mornings, gözleme off the griddle, künefe pulled bubbling from the oven, baklava layered in-house.

Then the room caught up. Two floors, warm light, seats you sink into. Students camp here between classes; families take the long table; Saturday nights run to 2 AM.
